Mary Olson Carrington, widow of the late Frank Carrington, earned an English degree from Skidmore College in 1954. She and Mr. Carrington raised two children. During their marriage, they lived in Denver, Colorado, where Mr. Carrington was Legal Assistant to the Chief of Police, and Chicago, Illinois, where he co-founded Americans for Effective Law Enforcement with Professor Fred Inbau. The Carringtons moved to the Virginia Beach area in1980, when Ed Meese enlisted Mr. Carrington to help with Ronald Reagan's transition to the presidency. After her husband's death, Mrs. Carrington joined the VALOR board and is helping to carry out his vision.
